In 1933 Ever Ready opened a new factory in Walthamstow by occupying the old Associated Equipment Company bus works (AEC) in Ferry Lane where the company manufactured radio high tension batteries and dry cell batteries for torches. They also made batteries for the use in motor cars and motorcycles. Other products were designed for the use in mines, and submarines. The company employed over 2000 people. More information about Ever Ready can be sourced from Graces Guide.
